5th Annual "Use Other Door" opens August 5th, 6-9pm

Use Other Door invited artists to submit contemporary work that represented their interpretation of what their “other door” might be. As the call description stated, this “other door” might be something as literal as choosing between two or more physical doors to gain access to something. Or, it could represent something intangible, such as a missed opportunity, conquering a fear, pursuing a dream or abandoning a goal.

Use Other Door is a vibrant, dynamic and expressive show featuring sculpture, neon, photography, assemblage, painting, and mixed-media by 15 artists from around the country. Participating artists: Brandin Baron (California), Daryl Bibicoff (Nevada), Diane Bush (Nevada), Malcolm Easton (California), Glynn Galloway (Nevada), Michelle Graves (Nevada), Kim Johnson (Nevada), Ginka Mitova (Nevada), Erika Muecke (Nevada), Chad Scott (Nevada), Linda Shaffer (Nevada), Allison Streater (Nevada), Leon Syfrit (Nevada), Louise Vickerman (Utah), Shahab Zargari (Nevada).

Suitable for all ages, Use Other Door is on display August 5th through September 30th, from 12-6p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays. Core Contemporary Gallery is located at 900 E. Liberace Ave, Suite B111 (enter through B109), Las Vegas, NV 89109 and is free to attend.
